Job Profile : Warehouse Assistant

Location :New Delhi

Purpose

Responsibility of warehouse management and providing all the required information to the manager, when required.

Key Responsibility Areas

  • Supervising Warehousing functioning by heading a team in conducting day to day Warehousing functions like Receiving goods, Bar-coding, Stacking, Screening Indents received from the stores, Picking, & Dispatching goods to the stores.
  • To monitor the receiving of stocks and processing of Barcoding, scanning & GRN's for the same.
  • Co-ordination between Stores and Head office for daily activities.
  • To ensure proper system is being followed for barcoding, scanning of new products into the system and put away of all stocks to the stores.
  • Monitoring Stock replenishment for stores based on their Indents received.
  • Monitoring Stacking at Warehouse for both Spinach Stock & Vender Stock Divisions.
  • Preparing and maintaining stock transfer reports.
  • To ensure proper maintenance of housekeeping in the warehouse.
  • Proper training to the staff members.
  • To ensure proper Logistics & Transportation of stocks from Warehouse to Stores and to Suppliers in case of rejected stocks.
  • Responsible for identifying the discrepancies in the incoming materials and bringing it to the notice of the concerned merchandisers.
  • Weekly & Monthly Warehouse reports.
  • Maintaining optimum stocks of all Consumables
  • To forecast& plan the stock mix & volume level for achieving the store targets.
  • To optimize age of inventory & ensure stock turns.
  • To monitor & control expenses through efficient store operations.
  • Assortment planning.

Job Specification:

Qualification and experience

  • Graduate of Post Graduate in Business Management with specialization in Retail Management.
  • Must have good working knowledge of computers.
  • Should have 3-4 yrs. relevant experience preferably in Retail Industry.
